About Us

Our Story: Born in the Northwoods

Wilderness Adventures started with a love affair with Wisconsin's Northwoods—those quiet mornings on misty lakes, the scent of pine and cedar on the trail, and the kind of peace you only find deep in the forest.

Growing up, my family's summers meant packing up the car and heading north. Every trip brought new discoveries: a hidden waterfall, a perfectly smooth skipping stone, a new cherished memory.

But we didn't stop at Wisconsin's borders. Road trips took us to the Badlands, Yellowstone, the Great Smoky Mountains, and beyond. Each park had its own character, its own lessons. I learned geology at the Grand Canyon, wildlife tracking at Glacier, and the importance of Leave No Trace everywhere in between. Those parks became more than vacation destinations—they became part of who I am.

Wilderness Adventures grew from those experiences. I wanted to create something that honored the places that shaped me, that made it easier for other families to explore and celebrate our public lands, and that kept the spirit of discovery alive.

Our Mission: Celebrate Public Lands, Support Conservation

We believe outdoor spaces should be accessible, protected, and celebrated. Every product we create is designed to:

  • Inspire exploration of national parks, state parks, and scenic trails
  • Support environmental education through Jr. Ranger programs and interpretive products
  • Build community among park collectors, hikers, and outdoor families
  • Honor craftsmanship with handmade items and thoughtful design

When you shop with us, you're not just buying a souvenir—you're joining a community that values conservation, education, and the irreplaceable experience of time spent outdoors.

Rooted in Wisconsin, Inspired by Wild Places Everywhere

We're proud to operate from Wisconsin, where the rustic beauty of the Northwoods meets the rolling hills of the Driftless Area. Our location influences everything we do—from our deep appreciation for state park systems to our commitment to quality craftsmanship.

Many of our products are handmade right here in our Wisconsin workshop, including our travel maps and ornaments. We source responsibly where possible and design with durability in mind, because gear for the outdoors should last as long as the memories you make.

For Families, Collectors, and Park Lovers

Whether you're a parent helping your child earn their first Jr. Ranger badge, a collector tracking visits across all 63 national parks, or simply someone who finds peace on the trail—we're here for you.

Our products celebrate the full spectrum of outdoor experiences: the educational (Adventure Guides), the commemorative (badges and magnets), the practical (drinkware for the trail), and the personal (stickers and journals to document your journey).

Join Us on the Trail

Thank you for supporting a small business that believes in the power of public lands. Every purchase helps us continue creating products that inspire exploration, support park education, and celebrate the wild places that make life richer.

Here's to your next adventure—whether it's a weekend in the Northwoods, a road trip to a distant national park, or a quest to hike every segment of the Ice Age Trail. We'll be here to help you commemorate the journey.
